SEX CRIMES AND THE VATICAN

SEX CRIMES AND THE VATICAN A Reaction Paper on the Catholic Church’s Shocking Cover-Up "I [name] hereby swear that I have told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and that I will talk to no-one about this interview except authorized priests." "So help me God and these holy Gospels which I touch." [Vows of Secrecy: the actual words] Growing up in a Catholic School during my elementary years in Ateneo de Davao has taught me to be reverent of the leaders of the Church and emulate their teachings as they would guide me towards enlightenment and a good life. Living in a Catholic community has instructed me to be obedient to my parents and being prayerful while serving the Church and being a good person for others. I highly regard of our Parish Priest because he had the charisma of a good father and the integrity of a good follower of Christ. Every Sunday, we would listen to his sermons and he would remind us of our shortcomings, teach

LETTER TO THE CONGRESSMAN OF DAVAO CITY

March 25, 2010 HON. SPEAKER PROSPERO C. NOGRALES House of Representatives Batasang Pambansa Complex Batasan Hills, Quezon City 1126 Metro Manila Sir: Greetings of Peace! I am Ryan Glenn M. Soguilon, a 4th year BS Business Administration student in the University of the Philippines Diliman. My family has been residing in the 1st District of Davao City for almost 21 years since I was born and where I was raised. I studied in the Ateneo de Davao University in elementary and in Philippine Science High School SMC in my secondary education where I grew to eventually witness the city’s rapid growth and development over the years. Through my education, I have learned to be critical in my society and am more discerning of the salient issues that we face. I strive to be relevant and possibly do something about these. I have come to know you as the incumbent Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines and the first ever elected Speaker from Mindanao

MY 10-POINT DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

MY 10-POINT DEVELOPMENT AGENDA If I Would Be the Next Philippine President The democratic nature of the Republic of the Philippines enables each registered voter to have a voice in determining the next leaders of the nation through a ballot vote. And yet the genuine development of the Philippines lies not on the president alone. One person is not enough to enact all economic and political reforms of the country. However, it is the duty of the highest elected official to represent the voice of the people through identifying the most important issues we face and implementing the most important economic and political decisions that are crucial to the common people. What the country needs is a development agenda with specific, measurable, and time-bound goals. These are the most basic and salient issues that need to be addressed in order for the Philippines to really rise as a country. 10-POINT DEVELOPMENT AGENDA (Medium to Long Term Goals) 1. AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF SOMEONE LIKE YOU

AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF SOMEONE LIKE YOU 20 Years of Sociological Imagination That which resembles most living one's life over again, seems to be to recall all the circumstances of it; and, to render this remembrance more durable, to record them in writing. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) This is a story of a young boy who started out with but an imagination, strived to pursue big dreams, and developed into a young man whose quest continues for greater goals in life. This is a boy who is unique just like everybody else, and his story is one you may always hear but maybe find something new. My full name is Ryan Glenn Monares Soguilon. I was born from both Filipino parents in the Philippines, particularly the tuna capital General Santos City, making me a true Filipino. I was born in the late 1980’s, back when life was much simpler. It marked the start of the home computer revolution although PC’s were not as accessible. 1988 was a year when elections in the Philippines w
